Housing & Infrastructure
Stevenson Square: $1B invested for 1,000 affordable units, including senior housing and co-ops.
Casa Celina: 204 affordable units for seniors, with 62 units for formerly homeless older adults.
Harding Park Renovation: Secured $11.4M for the park’s first renovation since 1993.
Invested $10M+ in school upgrades, technology, and after-school programs.
Established teen centers in 3 of the district’s 5 libraries (Soundview, Parkchester, and Castle Hill) and secured full funding for renovations at the remaining two libraries, including $6M restored for Westchester Square Library.
Hosted Participatory Budgeting three years in a row, funding impactful projects like MS 127’s new gym air conditioning unit.
Education & Youth
Passed the Industrial Business Strategic Action Plan, supporting local jobs and stabilizing manufacturing growth in NYC.
Created discounted ferry transit options for seniors, students, and low-income residents.
Helped launch the Castle Hill BID and continues to support the Westchester Square BID, securing a total of $480K in funding to revitalize these vital commercial corridors.
Economic Growth
Organized over 100 service-oriented events, including silent discos, skate parties, and family days.
Distributed 2,200 turkeys and 1,500 bags of produce in 2024 alone.
Hosted NYC’s first legislative hearings on cannabis and small business procurement.
Offered free services, including bi-weekly family law clinics, weekly immigration legal assistance, and annual tax preparation services.
Community Engagement
Funded $805K+ for sanitation and park clean-up efforts.
